Toccoa River

The Toccoa River, located in North Georgia, begins it's tailwater fishery near the town of Blue Ridge. This picturesque stream flows through one of the most beautiful natural settings in the South. The river meanders throuhg pristine untouched natural areas as well as cabin developments along its course. The combination of runs, riffles and pools creates a unique fishery that closely resembles a free flowing stream. On the river are historical fish traps, built by the Indians many years ago for the purpose of channeling water in a specific direction to create a habitate where fish may hold and feed consistently. Also located in this fishery are local catch and release areas to provide the angler the potential of catching trophy fish.
